Banks in Action (grade 9 & 10) provides students with an opportunity to better understand the world of banking. Through a fast-paced series of activities and discussions, students learn the fundamentals of borrowing and lending money, as well the impact of interest rates. JA Titan (grade 9 -12) - set in the year 2030, JA Titan creates a virtual world in which students are CEO’s of their own companies. The program consists of traditional classroom instruction and e-learning. During the online game experience students run a manufacturing company and master five key business decisions related to: pricing, production, marketing, research & development and capital investments. Newly Revised! Student Venture (grade 11 & 12) provides students the opportunity to learn about business concepts and experience all phases of business operation through the development and implementation of their very own business plan. This program is a natural fit for any entrepreneurship class. Time Commitment – 12 one hour (75 min) sessions.
Pilot Program! JA Success Skills (grade 10-12) is based on Sean Covey's work The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens. Skills such as active listening, conflict resolution, team work and problem solving will be enhanced. Like all Junior Achievement programs, JA Success Skills is highly interactive and consists of small group activities, role playing, games video clips and online tools. Time Commitment – 7 forty minute or 4 seventy five minute sessions. |
