Banks in Action (grade 9 & 10) provides students with an opportunity to better understand the world of banking.  Through a fast-paced series of activities and discussions, students learn the fundamentals of borrowing and lending money, as well the impact of interest rates.  Time Commitment – 4 one hour (or 75 min) sessions
 
JA Titan (grade 9 -12) - set in the year 2030, JA Titan creates a virtual world in which students are CEO’s of their own companies.  The program consists of traditional classroom instruction and e-learning. During the online game experience students run a manufacturing company and master five key business decisions related to: pricing, production, marketing, research & development and capital investments.  This action packed program is quickly becoming a favourite with teachers and students in Waterloo Region! Time Commitment – 6 one hour (75 min) sessions– 4 sessions require a computer lab
 
Newly Revised!  Student Venture  (grade 11 & 12) provides students the opportunity to learn about business concepts and experience all phases of business operation through the development and implementation of their very own business plan.  This program is a natural fit for any entrepreneurship class.  Time Commitment – 12 one hour (75 min) sessions.
 
Pilot Program!  JA Success Skills  (grade 10-12) is based on Sean Covey's work The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens.  Skills such as active listening, conflict resolution, team work and problem solving will be enhanced.  Like all Junior Achievement programs, JA Success Skills is highly interactive and consists of small group activities, role playing, games video clips and online tools.  Time Commitment – 7 forty minute  or 4 seventy five minute sessions.

By submitting this Program Registration Form, I understand and agree to the responsiblities of hosting a JA program.  These responsiblities are:

  1. I will welcome JA volunteer into my classroom to present the JA program for which my class is registered.
  2. I will reply to volunteer emails/phone messages in a timely manner
  3. I agree to not leave a JA volunteer unattended at anytime during the program presentation
  4. Assume full responsibility of classroom management
  5. I will attend the program information session if this is the first time hosting this JA program
  6. I will contact the JA office immediately if I cannot fulfill my registration obligations due to unforseen circumstances.
