Canadian Business Hall of Fame

Established by Junior Achievement of Canada in 1979, The Canadian Business Hall of Fame recognizes and celebrates the lifetime accomplishments of Canada’s most distinguished business leaders.

Annually, Inductees are chosen as Companions to the Order of the Business hall of Fame and receive the post-nominal designation C.B.H.F. for their enduring contributions to the economic development and prosperity of Canada.  As leading examples of achievement in business and in life, these individuals have demonstrated the qualities necessary to ensure the success and competitiveness of Canada in a global marketplace. As Companions, they become mentors and role models for Junior Achievement youth - Canada's next gereation leaders.

The annual Canadian Business Hall of Fame Gala Dinner is the national fundraising event in support of Junior Achievement of Canada.

Junior Achievement Worldwide®

Junior Achievement Worldwide® began in 1919 as the Boys’ and Girls’ Bureau Committee, changing its name to the Junior Achievement Bureau in 1920.

For the first 35 years of its existence, Junior Achievement operated only in the U.S. In 1955, Junior Achievement began formally launching programs outside of the U.S. with its first international operation in Canada.  Junior Achievement operations outside the U.S. became formalized in 1994 with the creation of Junior Achievement International. The merger of Junior Achievement Inc. and Junior Achievement International became official on July 1, 2004, creating Junior Achievement Worldwide.

Junior Achievement Worldwide now reaches over 9.7 million students per year in 379,968 classrooms and after-school locations in 123 countries around the world.
